Six months of FREE e-cig cartomizers contest…NICE!

Okay, I’ve been totally not talking about this, but I should have been. Anyway when there’s free stuff involved I’m all in and don’t mind spreading the word. So if you go to the Bloog LLC facebook page:

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Bloog-LLC/131406843607135

There’s a photo contest where you can win 6 months of FREE cartomizers just by liking them and sending in your most creative photo showing the Bloog brand. Pretty simple, but you have to get your friends to vote for you. Most votes wins! Pretty simple and pretty much no strings, plus the baseball cap looks pretty cool too. Anyway, I don’t spout off too much about this kind of stuff, but 6 months of Free E-Cig Cartos is a good deal (frankly 6 months of FREE anything is pretty good…insert your sarcastic comeback to this comment here)! Have fun, good luck (just don’t beat me) and PEACE!

Stuck in Traffic Pass Thru Battery Saves the Day

I travel a lot and spend a lot of time in the car. And when I’m stuck in traffic I tend to have those nicotine cravings, although I have managed to step down my nicotine level, I still crave it on a level. So instead of smoking like I used to do I am Blooging. But occasionally I forget to charge a battery. So I always keep a pass through battery on hand in the car that I can plug into my car adapter. Really simple and easy, just a tethered battery and the car charger, all USB compatible. Then I thread on my cartomizer and I’m good to go. Well the other day I am driving on the Schuylkill Expressway (if you’re around Philly you know this is a bad stretch of road, but convenient when it’s not jammed). So I get on this “Expressway” and I use that term liberally. And I forget to listen to the traffic report before getting on “DOH” and I get a mile down the thing and boom bumper to bumper traffic for about 4 miles into the city. So I know I’m screwed. I make a few calls to tell clients I’ll be late and then enjoy the view of my neighbor’s bumper and try to answer emails. But why not multi-task and get a little vaping in, right? Ummmm…wrong I forgot to charge my battery…what was I thinking. Then I remember the pass-thru in my center console…I’m not such an idiot after all. So I plug in and boom I’m Blooging and getting the nicotine to keep me from going into road rage mode. Just some friendly advice for all of you road warriors out there…a pass thru is definitely a handy item…also get the car adapter. If you run into the occasional car fire, or flat tire or fender bender like I do on the road…these two items can be a life saver! PEACE!

Vaping on a photoshoot extremely handy!

Had an unusual Saturday, had to be on a photo shoot with one of my photographers, a cigar smoker, who happened to only be available on Saturdays the last two weeks. And when a client wants to use a particular photographer, I have to work when that photographer is available to meet the deadline. The photographer and I happen to get along extremely well, and used to enjoy a good cigar together after hours or better use cigar smoke to fake steam on the set when shooting food (an old trick that had it’s benefits when I smoked). So yesterday was extremely tough on me from an old habits standpoint. I not only was shooting with an old friend, but also had to abstain from our old pleasure. But, being a trooper, I soldiered on with my Bloog and we still had a great time working and rehashing old times. The best part, was that at the end of the day, he says to me, “How are those things anyway?” So I ask him if he’d like to give it a try. I had a cartomizer with some Red Juice in it and I have gotten into the habit of keeping some mouthpiece tips in my car and on me at all times. People always want to try my e-cigarette (because it looks like fun), but I don’t want everyone putting their mouth on my carto, so the mouthpieces really do come in handy. I never look like a jerk and at the same time I never have to get drool on my cartomizers…a WIN/WIN for me and my friends. So my photographer gives Blooging (vaping) a try and he actually says, “Hey, it’s not bad…how do I get one of these?” And of course the million dollar question, “How much are they?” So I tell him where to go and what the starter kit costs. And he was really receptive to them, plus I told him he could write them off as a business expense, since he could use the vapor to create steam over plates of food when he is shooting food for ads and packaging. And he got an evil grin when I said that….so I know his gears were turning. Anyway, hoping the next time I go back to his studio, we are vaping together. PEACE!

Got Caught In The Second Hand Smoke Of A Guy On A SEGWAY????

Okay this is a weird one…there’s this guy in a surrounding neighborhood to mine that happens to own a Segway, one of those two wheeled personal vehicles you see mall cops riding around on, Every now and then I see this guy tooling around town on this thing with a cigar in his mouth, guessing the wife told him to take his cigars on the road and he took her literally. Anyway so I am at my son’s baseball game an there are walking trails around the fields, since the fields are located in a big park the the township owns. And I guess you can Segway on a walking trail without too much worry from cops bothering you in my town. So we’re somewhere near the end of the game and Joe Segway pulls up with an enormous cigar, and parks his environmentally friendly vehicle next to me and starts to puff away…could have screamed! Now I used to enjoy a good cigar when I was smoking, but only around friends at a poker table or tailgate, but he has to park next to me while I am trying to enjoy a baseball game…is there a reason ignorant people are attracted to me specifically????? So I move to not be confrontational….and the guy starts zipping around (must have been looking for a friend or something…so he’s spreading his aroma around both sides of our fields…there’s no escaping him….aaaaaaahhhh…finally I guess he got bored and no one way paying attention to him so he took off, but I was about 30 seconds from taking my son’s 34 inch DiMarini Bat to the Segway and him…man I’m getting sensitive and way more attune to second hand smoke now that I made the leap to a Bloog e-cig and vaping…okay I vented, now I’m much calmer…PEACE!

NEWSFLASH…Client gets in car, comments hey it smells good!

Okay, this is not really news, but it sure as heck opened my eyes made me realize how miserable I made people in my car. I travel quite a bit and when I used to smoke I used to not care who was in the car, it was my car after all…my rules…really selfish of me, but at the time my need for nicotine sort of took over rode my sense of compassion for my passengers. Difference now…I can vape in the car…the car doesn’t pick up the residual odor of smoke, there’s no residual tar on my car windows, my breath doesn’t stink, my clothes and my passenger’s clothes don’t stink all day, plus my passenger doesn’t have to breath my smoke all day and dream about fresh air. So my client goes to me, “No offense, I love hanging out with you and love your work, but man I used to dread getting in your car…thank your wife for me, gonna send her roses for getting you off those damn things.” And I had to admit he was right, plus the car does smell a whole lot better now that I detailed it and got off the old cigarettes. Stepping down slowly, but Bloog Electronic Cigarettes are definitely less painful than the damn patch or cold turkey. Not really news like I said, but it sure was another wake up call! Peace!

Blooging at St. Patrick’s Day

Away from my family at another trade show, and when I am away I work all day and then typically get together with my colleagues for a few beverages at the end of the day. So happens this trade show is over St. Patrick’s Day so as usual when this happens I tend to see the end results of the local parade since I am working all day. Whether that is a green a river in Chicago or vomit on the streets of Atlanta, magically everyone is Irish and drinking way too much bad green beer…yuck…gimme a Guinness any day of the week. Anyway so in honor of St. Patrick’s Day I brought my green Bloog battery and green cartomizer (menthol flavor). So after I get out of the show I head to my closest Irish watering hole…this year Meehan’s in Atlanta. Crowded but good company. Broke out my e-cig, bouncer started to say something and then he saw the blue LED and took a step back…like “WTF is that???” So I’m grinning to see if he makes me stop, lets me go or bounces my rear out of the place. So he comes up to me all Mt. Everest like (massive dude) must play football for Georgia or GT…yikes…anyway he’s big…and he goes and in a very gentlemanly fashion I must admit, “Sir what is that?” So I explain it’s an e-cigarette and all I am creating is vapor and not actual smoke, and he looks at me all serious…and goes, “Hold on and just stop so I can check with the manager.” And my mind is going, well I’m not in the street so that is good…for the moment. Manager approaches…”Sir what do we have here, so I show him my Green Bloog and how it works and how it is not smoke, only vapor, no second hand anything.” And he goes, oh I get it, no problem, but keep it on the DL  so I don’t have any other amateur lighting up tonight…got it. So I finally found a booth for my buddies and broke it back out again…Nice guys, great little pub, good Guinness, Good Vape, Good Times! Cheers and Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone, another successful day without a smoke!

Two months and no smokie

Seriously, I’ve gone two months without smoking and I am feeling much better than I ever expected. I have been getting a ton of support online, at home and at work. Thank you all for cheering me on! The temptation is still there to go back, but I am truly finding tobacco cigarettes less and less appealing and when I am around a smoker I am having a harder and harder time tolerating them…but isn’t that how all former smokers act, we are the least tolerant of our old selves…the stereotype is so true, But I am hoping that this Blog encourages others to try to follow the same path I did and I’ll do my best to support you too! On to month 3…no smoking, better vaping! PEACE!
