If you’ve been following this blog, you know I’m involved in a number of activities, and one of them happens to be a committee at my church…this one deals with staff and human resource issues. So to be proactive as a church I stepped in and volunteered to bring in a Human Resource consultant friend of mine, thinking this would be a slam dunk…well almost 3 years later and a lot of drama I, along with a few other committee members presented this manual to the church staff. Talk about stressful! And of course right after Christmas I quit smoking…so as I finished each stress filled meeting with people VERY RESISTANT TO CHANGE (and particularly oblivious to the law) I followed it with a Bloog instead of a cigarette. If I had tried to quit cold turkey…it would have been a dismal failure anger, cold-sweats, and finally caving in to temptation…with Bloog it has been far easier to stop smoking tobacco cigarettes and I have finally stepped down to a 16 mg nicotine level from 24mg…so it is a step in the right direction toward ZERO. Still love my e-cigs! I get the feel of a cigarette, I don’t piss people off with the smell or second hand smoke, and I am gently stepping down my dependence without missing a beat! So literally, thank God for Bloog for helping me get through some uncharted waters personally and spiritually at church! PEACE!

NEWSFLASH…Client gets in car, comments hey it smells good!
Okay, this is not really news, but it sure as heck opened my eyes made me realize how miserable I made people in my car. I travel quite a bit and when I used to smoke I used to not care who was in the car, it was my car after all…my rules…really selfish of me, but at the time my need for nicotine sort of took over rode my sense of compassion for my passengers. Difference now…I can vape in the car…the car doesn’t pick up the residual odor of smoke, there’s no residual tar on my car windows, my breath doesn’t stink, my clothes and my passenger’s clothes don’t stink all day, plus my passenger doesn’t have to breath my smoke all day and dream about fresh air. So my client goes to me, “No offense, I love hanging out with you and love your work, but man I used to dread getting in your car…thank your wife for me, gonna send her roses for getting you off those damn things.” And I had to admit he was right, plus the car does smell a whole lot better now that I detailed it and got off the old cigarettes. Stepping down slowly, but Bloog Electronic Cigarettes are definitely less painful than the damn patch or cold turkey. Not really news like I said, but it sure was another wake up call! Peace!
Valentine’s Day…Bloog and the best day ever!
Well as you know my wife changed my life by giving me an electronic cigarette starter kit from Bloog over Christmas, so Valentine’s day was my first real chance to thank her for how she changed my life and life style for the better. Did something totally simple yet really fun by going to this place the Movie Tavern…you get to eat and watch a movie at the same time, terrific comfortable lounge chairs, beverages of choice, the best company and a fun movie….good time and best of all when it was over I got to vape and the car didn’t stink, and neither did my breath, which the wife truly appreciates too. So life is good! Thanks again to a wonderful wife and Bloog! Peace!
Thoughts After My Last Post….
So after my last post about the e-cigarette and Scouting I started thinking about the possible benefits of an e-cigarette out in the wilderness…sort of Man vs Wild kind of stuff so here is a few survival benefits of an e-cigarette out in the wild (some are more of a reach than others – perhaps some good laughs too): No potential forest fire since there are no sparks; LED light great makes a great mini flashlight for on the trail or for that late night latrine stop; LED Light from e-cigs don’t attract mosquitos; create your own vapor cloud to subdue yellow jackets; hide from bears with a self made fog bank; if desperate cartomizers interiors make a great fire starters…just a few thoughts for fun…give me your suggestions too! Tried another brand of e-cig to compare…BIG MISTAKE
Okay I’ve been sticking with one brand of e-cig since I started, Bloog, and I am still a loyal Bloog customer, but I have to admit I strayed to try another brand to see if and what I may be missing…so in an effort to keep it brief…I ordered something from Smoke Anywhere…it looked like a regular cigarette so I figured it would be worth a try. Sorry I wasted my money…the cartomizer (simply called Regular) was just as named “REGULAR” actually a better name should have been “Burnt” rather nasty taste and I got a dried burnt taste as it activated. Not a great initial impression. Sorry to say I wasted an extra $8.00 on these carts plus the battery…these guys were apparently early in the e-cig market, but they don’t look like they have done much to improve them at all. Going back to my old standard for now, but will try other options to see if anyone matches up…but this Smoke Anywhere product was a poor choice for me to compare. PEACE!
Goes with Sushi…
I have to admit, I have a weakness for sushi…not everyone’s taste, but I love it! So normally after lunch I used to have a cigarette, but now it’s my e-cigarette. Anyway…getting to the point…so I am out with a client for lunch and she loves sushi too. So after enjoying a wonderful lunch we’re walking out and I grab my e-cigarette and start to take a few puffs. And she turns to me, and says and I quote, “That looks like fun…” so I go do you smoke? And she doesn’t but still said it looked really cool (which I loved). So I told her that the nicotine may bother her, but gave her a fresh cartomizer to try (gotta get some mouth pieces so I can share). Anyway she tries it and says that is really cool…so I tell her that you can get the cartomizers in 0mg of nicotine so you can just appear to be smoking when you really are not for the look…again comment from her “COOL!” Followed by a smile. So I may have created a monster, but now I know E-cigs and sushi go perfect together….PEACE!
