Had an unusual Saturday, had to be on a photo shoot with one of my photographers, a cigar smoker, who happened to only be available on Saturdays the last two weeks. And when a client wants to use a particular photographer, I have to work when that photographer is available to meet the deadline. The photographer and I happen to get along extremely well, and used to enjoy a good cigar together after hours or better use cigar smoke to fake steam on the set when shooting food (an old trick that had it’s benefits when I smoked). So yesterday was extremely tough on me from an old habits standpoint. I not only was shooting with an old friend, but also had to abstain from our old pleasure. But, being a trooper, I soldiered on with my Bloog and we still had a great time working and rehashing old times. The best part, was that at the end of the day, he says to me, “How are those things anyway?” So I ask him if he’d like to give it a try. I had a cartomizer with some Red Juice in it and I have gotten into the habit of keeping some mouthpiece tips in my car and on me at all times. People always want to try my e-cigarette (because it looks like fun), but I don’t want everyone putting their mouth on my carto, so the mouthpieces really do come in handy. I never look like a jerk and at the same time I never have to get drool on my cartomizers…a WIN/WIN for me and my friends. So my photographer gives Blooging (vaping) a try and he actually says, “Hey, it’s not bad…how do I get one of these?” And of course the million dollar question, “How much are they?” So I tell him where to go and what the starter kit costs. And he was really receptive to them, plus I told him he could write them off as a business expense, since he could use the vapor to create steam over plates of food when he is shooting food for ads and packaging. And he got an evil grin when I said that….so I know his gears were turning. Anyway, hoping the next time I go back to his studio, we are vaping together. PEACE!
