As many of you know I started this Blog to track my progress on quitting smoking cigarettes and educate others on e-cigarettes at the same time. I had been a loooong time smoker and was hooked, but then my wife gave me an e-cig starter kit for Christmas and I made the switch. Since then I have cut my nicotine level down from 24mg to 16mg and am getting ready to make the change down to 11mg. So progressively I will end my nicotine cravings and end up a 0mg, but that is still a little down the road and I do like the feeling of my e-cig as sort of a stress reliever even if I don’t need as much nicotine. Anyway, I already asked my wife to get me the step down cartomizers to 11mg for Father’s day. It’s only been about 6 months, but I really am seeing a ton of progress. I have been able to reduce my nicotine cravings, my cough is virtually gone, and I definitely feel better when I run or jog; and I do run and jog, which I could not do previously without coughing and hacking afterwards. So life with e-cigs is good definitely and it continues to get better. So if you do care about that special dad or husband in your life who smokes, then consider giving him an electronic cigarette starter kit…they really work! PEACE!

How an E-Cigarette Car Charger Works
As many of you know I am on the road a lot seeing clients and networking. I always talk about charging my Bloog E-cigarette, but I rarely show how easy it is. Well finally got off my rear end and took a pic with my phone. Basically, its a car adapter that is readily available on bloogplanet.com plus the usb charger inserted into the adapter (like I said REALLY EASY) and then you thread your Bloog e-cig battery in an your charging while you drive. As you can see I keep a healthy supply of additional batteries on hand. I use them and I share them with friends to try to get them to quit smoking. Gotta continue to thank my wife for making me take the leap. But she really did a great job selecting a great product that lasts. Love vaping in the car. No residual smell and I am actually cutting down my nicotine level along the way. Just thought I’d share this with all of you so you can see how easy it is. PEACE!
Stuck in Traffic Pass Thru Battery Saves the Day
I travel a lot and spend a lot of time in the car. And when I’m stuck in traffic I tend to have those nicotine cravings, although I have managed to step down my nicotine level, I still crave it on a level. So instead of smoking like I used to do I am Blooging. But occasionally I forget to charge a battery. So I always keep a pass through battery on hand in the car that I can plug into my car adapter. Really simple and easy, just a tethered battery and the car charger, all USB compatible. Then I thread on my cartomizer and I’m good to go. Well the other day I am driving on the Schuylkill Expressway (if you’re around Philly you know this is a bad stretch of road, but convenient when it’s not jammed). So I get on this “Expressway” and I use that term liberally. And I forget to listen to the traffic report before getting on “DOH” and I get a mile down the thing and boom bumper to bumper traffic for about 4 miles into the city. So I know I’m screwed. I make a few calls to tell clients I’ll be late and then enjoy the view of my neighbor’s bumper and try to answer emails. But why not multi-task and get a little vaping in, right? Ummmm…wrong I forgot to charge my battery…what was I thinking. Then I remember the pass-thru in my center console…I’m not such an idiot after all. So I plug in and boom I’m Blooging and getting the nicotine to keep me from going into road rage mode. Just some friendly advice for all of you road warriors out there…a pass thru is definitely a handy item…also get the car adapter. If you run into the occasional car fire, or flat tire or fender bender like I do on the road…these two items can be a life saver! PEACE!
Networking and Blooging
Not sure if I ever mentioned this, but I am a member of a weekly networking group that provides some nice business for my employer. Well one of my fellow long time members is an unapologetic smoker. I think the world of this guy, since we do a lot of business together, but it is difficult for me to be around him anymore, since I am still working resisting my cigarette cravings. My Bloog e-cigarette helps a ton, so when I am around him I just vape, and he smirks at me typically. But yesterday, we were outside after our meeting and he goes how much are those things. So I explained the start up costs, but that e-cigarettes if used correctly actually save me a lot of money. An I always keep an extra supply of the Bloog sanitary mouth piece tips with me just in case a friend wants to try them. And what do you know he finally tried mine! Thought I had achieved a victory over him and had finally got him to break down and try vaping as a result of my positive influence. But he took the wind out of my sails by telling me his wife really wanted him to quit smoking and had been bugging him for weeks. The good thing was that she told him to be more like me and try vaping over smoking, so I guess my vaping influenced her to put her foot down. Net, net of this story was he tried vaping finally and I am hoping to flip him permanently…will keep tabs on him and let you all know how it goes! PEACE!
NEWSFLASH…Client gets in car, comments hey it smells good!
Okay, this is not really news, but it sure as heck opened my eyes made me realize how miserable I made people in my car. I travel quite a bit and when I used to smoke I used to not care who was in the car, it was my car after all…my rules…really selfish of me, but at the time my need for nicotine sort of took over rode my sense of compassion for my passengers. Difference now…I can vape in the car…the car doesn’t pick up the residual odor of smoke, there’s no residual tar on my car windows, my breath doesn’t stink, my clothes and my passenger’s clothes don’t stink all day, plus my passenger doesn’t have to breath my smoke all day and dream about fresh air. So my client goes to me, “No offense, I love hanging out with you and love your work, but man I used to dread getting in your car…thank your wife for me, gonna send her roses for getting you off those damn things.” And I had to admit he was right, plus the car does smell a whole lot better now that I detailed it and got off the old cigarettes. Stepping down slowly, but Bloog Electronic Cigarettes are definitely less painful than the damn patch or cold turkey. Not really news like I said, but it sure was another wake up call! Peace!
Tried another brand of e-cig to compare…BIG MISTAKE
Okay I’ve been sticking with one brand of e-cig since I started, Bloog, and I am still a loyal Bloog customer, but I have to admit I strayed to try another brand to see if and what I may be missing…so in an effort to keep it brief…I ordered something from Smoke Anywhere…it looked like a regular cigarette so I figured it would be worth a try. Sorry I wasted my money…the cartomizer (simply called Regular) was just as named “REGULAR” actually a better name should have been “Burnt” rather nasty taste and I got a dried burnt taste as it activated. Not a great initial impression. Sorry to say I wasted an extra $8.00 on these carts plus the battery…these guys were apparently early in the e-cig market, but they don’t look like they have done much to improve them at all. Going back to my old standard for now, but will try other options to see if anyone matches up…but this Smoke Anywhere product was a poor choice for me to compare. PEACE!
A month and I totally missed it…
Okay after a month (officially on Saturday) I have to admit it…I’m still addicted to the nicotine, but I do really like vaping over smoking for darn sure. Can’t believe it’s been a month…I actually forgot since I was so busy with my Super Bowl prep. So I’ve survived a month and am onto month two (will have to put it on my calendar, and actually look at the darn thing). So far…my smoker’s cough is fast becoming a distant memory and the change was pretty seamless in terms of my daily habits. I just have to go to the convenience store for a cup of coffee in the morning…skip the pack of cigarettes please. So anyway approaching a month off of my old buddies…I am starting to experiment with some new flavors and have ordered a new battery called the TriFecta…apparently it is 3 batteries in one…will give you the review once I have it in my hot little hands. So if you’re following along…it isn’t that bad to make the leap from a traditional cigarette to an electronic one once you get in the habit of charging it and ordering juice and/or cartomizers periodically…I have got to talk to my local C-Store about carrying these things, would be a heck of a lot easier. PEACE!
How to fill an E-cigarette Cartomizer
Well finally took some time to take some picture to show how to fill an e-cigarette cartomizer. This allows you to make your cartomizers (or carts) last longer. I like this method, because you can control the amount of nicotine juice you insert into the cartomizer so it does not drip out of the cartomizer and into the battery…juice in your battery is bad and ruins the battery for sure. So here goes….

Start with a bottle of juice, a cartomizer and a cap. Just use your thumb and forefinger to remove the cap...really easy
I hope this helps show off how easy it is to fill an electronic cigarette cartomizer. Sorry my shots are not great, did them with my phone really quick….will work on better shots soon! Peace!
Start of a NEW Month…and Introduced a Client to Vaping
Well got through January with out a cigarette….wasn’t sure everyday whether I would be successful, but things are working out and I haven’t broken down yet. Today was a strange one though. Spent about 4 hours with a client in North Jersey and they smoke…whoo boy do they smoke and ashtrays filled with butts everywhere….it was painful…so since the owner is such a smoker, he didn’t mind me puffing my Bloog along through the day. Explained to him I was trying to step down and he was totally cool with it. Even apologized for the temptation, but he’s addicted…he says he has to take a sleeping pill for flights to China so that he doesn’t feel any pain during the long flights. So I showed him the electronic cigarette I use and he seemed pretty receptive. If he doesn’t get an e-cig starter kit before his birthday, I may send him one to see if I can convert him so I don’t have to experience a repeat of today…actually it may be better if I bring him one on my next visit….gears turning now…if you can’t beat ‘em convert ‘em. PEACE!
Hanging out with baseball dads…
Well so far I’ve been a good soldier and have kept off my old buddy Mr. Cigarette. But now baseball training has started and my friends still duck out of the indoor complex for a drag while our sons workout with the coach….talk about TEMPTATION…arrrrrgggghhhh…they’re puffing away in front of me and I’m vaping…it certainly helped a lot because I wasn’t standing there looking at them with nothing in my hand or trying to avoid them to avoid the temptation all together…it took a lot of willpower to avoid the urge to bum a cigarette from them, but my e-cig helped get me through…thank you to my wife for getting me an e-cig instead of the patch or gum….would have never made it. PEACE!
